Blazers Now Available/ May 09 Release

Available NOW courtesy Proper:

These Blazers are a tribute to the man who broke the color-barrier in baseball/sports... Jackie Robinson. This pack contains three different colorways,
varsity red/white,
dark grey/white, and
court blue/white,
with each featuring a smooth suede upper and some swirling white designs. Each shoe has several letter B’s imprinted on the sides and the word “Brooklyn” stitched on the tongues, which stand for Jackie’s old team, the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Available May 09 courtesy Nike SB Sole:

Nike SB has released their latest Blazer Hi. We all like the recent Blazers from the Nike SB collection, mostly because they use nice materials, solid colors and sport overall classic looks. This one comes in a red suede/black colorway and clean white sole.

I'm Fiending for all the Jackie Robinson's, but I like blue ones the most and the only ones I've found thus far is the dark grey ones on Ebay so now I'm on a hunt. I think it's a good look for Nike for unleashing this collection

I plan to cop those Classic Style Blazers as well next month if ever I come across them, but I'll definitely be looking for them

Dat Kid From Cleveland

There's been alotta hootin-n-hollerin about this mixtape. Some say its good, some say it sucks, some say its da shyt while some say its a bad follow up to "A Kid Named Cudi".

Me?

Well, just like Cudi's first mixtape, I can put "Dat Kid From Cleveland" in the CD player in the whip and just let it ride.

With these two mixtapes and with his ablum dropping on August, 25th, he is quickly climbling on top of my list of favorite artists.

Epic WIN Of The Day

Ok, so by now, I'm pretty we've all seen that Heineken commercial where the ladies scream for joy for the walk-in closet of shoes and the guys are screaming for the walk-in refrigerator of Heineken, right? Well in case you haven't here it is....

Pretty funny, right?

Well the Cleveland Cavaliers decided to do a parady of this, Check it out...

LMFAO!!!

Both are funny as hell, but I can relate more to the Cav's version because, for one, I don't drink..... [BEER] and I can just see myself and some of my homeboys wildin out over a big ass room full of fly kicks (J's, Vans, Blazers, SB's, Shelltoes, force 1's and 2's, Chucks, and the list goes on)

So, just felt like sharing this...

P.S: Lol at the sports reporter who shakes his head at the end. He just had that look like, "damn, niggas ain't got no sense" LOL!
and to his reference to the Lakers... Naw, the Cavs are gonna runaway with it this year.

Wired For This Sh#t

For the past month or so, my dream profession is basically all I think about and all I, well, dream about which caused me to do some research on it to see what it really takes to be a tattoo artist. I came across this web article that I've grown to love because it doesn't tell me what I want to hear, what I need to hear like...

1st: Money & Fame
If you think tattooing is a get-rich-quick dream, you need to snap back to reality because you are only seeing one tiny part of the big picture. There is a lot of money that has to be invested into running a successful, safe, clean, sterile and professional tattooing business. There's a lot of shit you have to pay for like..

An autoclave sterilizer, which can cost thousands of dollars by itself
High quality tattoo machines
Power supplies
Medical equipment
And Sanitation supplies

All of this adds up significantly, not to mention the insurance, licenses and other legal red tape that can break the bank before you even get started. So, if you’re in this for the money, you’re gonna be S.O.L. If you do not love, and I do mean LOVE, the art of tattooing and would not be willing to do it for free, then don’t waste your time even trying to get in.

The desire for fame is just as ridiculous a motivation for becoming a tattoo artist as money is. Yea there are a few people in the tattoo world that are considered famous. Well they didn’t get into this business for the purpose of fame, either, and the reason it happened upon them is because they EARNED it. They worked their asses off, dedicating every drop of sweat to the art and they eventually got recognized for it because of that dedication.

2nd: Skillz
SO you like to draw and your mom says you do wonderful work. Your friends all tell you that you should be an artist. Even your teachers tell you that you have real potential. Does that make you a candidate for becoming a tattoo artist? Maybe, but don’t get your hopes up too high. You think you got skillz?

Well... Let’s talk about skill.

Right now, there are so many people out there tattooing that in some cities there are literally tattoo shops on every corner and a lot of these artists are creating some bomb-ass tats. If you don’t have what it takes to either match or exceed the quality of your competition, then you have no business being in this business.

Tattooing isn’t about tracing stencils anymore – it’s about creating art.

And not just any art. there is a big difference between the ability to draw and the ability to crank out a work of art under pressure.

3rd: Worth Doing
Ever hear the saying, “Anything worth doing is worth doing right (or well)”? Well, the same thing goes for learning the art of tattoo. Being an artist on paper is one thing – being an artist on skin is another. But before you can be a tattoo artist, you need to learn the other aspects of working in a tattoo studio. You need to...

learn how to clean
how to prevent cross-contamination
how to sterilize your equipment
what can be sterilized and what has to be tossed
how to safely protect your equipment
and how to properly dispose of contaminated materials

Warning: If you don’t care about any of these things, then you damn well had better not want to be a tattoo artist because you will have someone’s blood on your hands... literally

4th: Dedication
desire alone would not be enough to make it in the tattoo world. Desire is wanting, but it’s not doing. What you need is a dedication that inspires you to action, and enough dedication to stick with it for the long term. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme; it’s an art form. Some painters become famous and get rich from it, but most don’t and all do it for the love. The same goes with tattoo artists. If you love it so much that you would be willing to do whatever it takes to become a competitive artist with a honed talent, then you are certainly on the right road. If you love the art so much that you would be willing to do it for free, then I wish you all the success in the world.

As for me, Money and Fame is cool and all good but that's very low on my list of reasons why i wanna do this. Have you ever wanted to do something because it just feels right (naw i aint talkin bout sex, get'cha mind outta the gutta) and it just feels like it's made for you or that you're made for it? Well that's how it is for me. Nothing else really matters. I just wanna learn this technique and prosper in this work of art, maybe even become the best at it because for some reason, I love competition when it comes to art. This is all I got for now, but there with be a part 2 to give you the rundown on the process of becoming an artist of this nature

A Possible 1st Tat (Rough Draft)

So I was surfing the web (as usual) looking at tattoo designs for ideas to draw up my own shit when i came across this site Tattoofinder.com which has a wide-range of tats. the down side to it is that if you was to find a tat that you are interested in, you can't just print it out or copy and paste it, you gotta pay for it...

BULLSHIT!!!

I came across this 8-point star with a pisces symbol (My sign) in the middle of it. It looked aight, but it was so plain. So of coarse I didnt pay for it, I drew that muufucka out and What you see up above is the tat that I came across... but on steriods
I beefed it up!
first:
i put a random texture design inside the 4 large points of the largest star
second:
i wrote the date of my birthday between the pisces symbol and the largest star (3/16)
third:
i managed to evenly circle the 8-point star with 16 small stars which represents 16 days of the month in which I was born.
forth:
i added 3 skullheads which represents March, the 3rd month of the year and the month I was born and if you look at the skullhead at the bottom and look at its eyez, you'll see the number '89 which is, you've guessed it, the year I was born in.
fifth:
I decided to add a design of a strip of barbed wire at the bottom along with the 3rd skullhead because I ran outta ideas and I felt that the tattoo as a whole wouldn't be balanced without some kind of design placed in that location, it looks cool for right now. i might change it later on though.
I'm still thinkin of things that I could add, but as of now, I'm straight with it. The only thing thats left for me to determine now is the location and how large I want it to be.
So what'cha think?

No More Domino's For Me

This hits home for me because i actually eat Domino's (well, not anymore after watching this) but it's not because i thought they had the best pizza, i just had to settle for their "shit" because we dont have a real Pizza Hut around this town.

and i dont want this to be a race thing

BUT!!!

only white people would actually sabotage people's food for no reason and then showcase the crime all over the web. and then they do it as if they're untouchable, like they will never reap the consequences for this which explains the smiles on their faces

Can't Knock MTV For This

These are the 5 stars of the new MTV show "Taking The Stage".
Jasmine (Middle)
A top flight ballerina who dreams of attending New York performing arts conservatory The Juilliard School after graduating from SCPA.
Mia (Far Right)
A singer-songwriter whose talent is matched only by her drive and her goal is to be signed by the time she is 18.
Tyler (Right)
A gifted hip-hop dancer, new to SCPA with his little brother Chris (also a dancer) and attracts attention from everyone at the school.
Malik (Left)
Jasmine’s best friend and leads the school’s only hip-hop dance group, “The Definition.” In addition to his formidable dance skills, he is also a talented choreographer and a singer/songwriter.
Shaakira (Far Left)
A dancer and aspiring actress, she is also an accomplished ballet dancer, one of the best SCPA has ever produced, but she prefers hip-hop dance and is a member of Malik’s camp.
Of coarse this is a reality show, which has become typical for this channel, which i really don't understand because the shit is called MTV(Music TeleVision), not RTV (Reality TeleVision) and more than half of the show don't even relate to music at all!
This show, on the other hand, not only showcase music, but art as a whole (Visual, Dance, Poetry, etc...) and it has caught my attention.
These kids attend SCPA, a prestigious school that draws young people from all backgrounds dedicated to pursuing careers in the arts. The school has track record of producing some of the entertainment industry’s most knowned dancers, singers and musicians like...
Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City)
Carmen Electra (Starsky & Hutch)
actor/director Todd Luiso (High Fidelity)
actor Rocky Carroll (NCIS)
singer Nick Lachey.
SCPA is not the average high school and gaining entrance is not an easy task, as every student must audition before being accepted. The curriculum is so rigorous, that the students who have been there the longest call themselves “survivors.” Honing their skills will take everything they have but to achieve it they will have to focus all their energy and make sacrifices along the way.
While they are some of the most talented teenagers in the country, they will still have to navigate the same trials and insecurities that all teenagers face which are obstacles that threaten their chances at success. The enormous pressure to make good grades, demanding rehearsal schedules, changing friendships and first loves, will keep them striving to find balance. As these rising stars pursue their goals, cameras will be there to capture the ups and downs, the adulations and tears, and that moment when they risk it all to take the stage and claim it as their own.

Dunk #3 (Got Purp?)

My next purchase...
These are called the NIKE DUNK HIGH PRO SB UN HEAVENS GATE, but that takes too long to say so Imma call them the "IVAN OOZE'S" lol. For those of you who don't who that is and why I'm naming them that... You must've been living under a rock during your childhood...

because in the 90's, the Power Rangers was boomin'-n-bunkin' and in '95, they came with a bomb-ass movie which featured this guy who planned to take over the world with his "purple stuff" lol. So when I saw these dunks, that was the first thing that came to my mind.

Oh yea, btw... Shouts out to Big Boi for this album too...
